The short answer
Swoogo is an event management platform built for complex event operations, spanning registration, onsite logistics, session and speaker management, and a white-labeled event experience.
EpochX is an AI-native, pipeline-first platform for field and event marketing teams. It starts in your CRM, using account, deal, territory, and relationship context to decide who belongs in the room, then connects execution and follow-up back to pipeline.
Both platforms can run an event well. The difference is where they expect the work to begin. Swoogo starts when someone reaches the registration experience. EpochX starts earlier, with who should be invited and who should send the invite, then carries that context through to the pipeline the event created.
Pick EpochX when CRM-driven targeting and in-platform pipeline visibility matter most. Pick Swoogo when deep registration workflows, session and speaker management, and onsite check-in come first.

Where EpochX wins
01 · Audience strategy
EpochX plans your audience before registration opens
Swoogo's invitation list puts it in the organizer's hands to create or use previous lists. Contacts must already exist in the Swoogo contact database before they can be added, and Swoogo does not publish segmentation criteria for deciding who belongs on a list. Its standard contact schema also does not include a linked account object, deal stage, territory, or record owner, so those relationships are not native to the data.
EpochX starts with your CRM instead—with your most up-to-date data and target prospects. It is designed to bring account, deal, territory, and relationship signals into the question of who belongs at the event before a registration page exists, then show which person on your team has the strongest reason to send the invite.
The distinction is simple: EpochX builds the audience from CRM context. Swoogo executes against an audience you have already defined in Swoogo or your marketing platform.
02 · Measurement
EpochX builds pipeline reporting into the event itself
Swoogo's reporting is built around the event: registrations, sessions, speakers, and sponsors, with a custom report builder and cross-event comparison. Its own event ROI guidance describes pipeline measurement as a division of labor between the event platform and the CRM.
Swoogo's newer answer is to connect an AI assistant to both Swoogo and your CRM, then ask which closed deals had event touchpoints. That works, but the answer is still assembled across two systems in a chat window.
EpochX reports opportunities sourced by each event directly in the platform, CRM-native, because invites, registrations, attendance, and follow-up were already on the CRM record. Data can also be pushed into CRMs and existing dashboards through the Open API. Influenced pipeline reporting is in development.
03 · Who on your team can build
EpochX gives every teammate a seat
Swoogo prices by user. Its entry plan includes one Full User—the seat that can build registration paths and websites and send communications—plus one Reporting User.
For an events team with a single builder, that model is straightforward. A distributed field marketing team changes the math. If 15 regional marketers each want to build their own dinner, those requests either pass through the person holding the builder seat or require additional licenses.
EpochX follows a per-seat model with usage credits on top, similar to Claude. Each region can work in its own space while the people responsible for brand and budget keep control of the guardrails.
04 · Where the AI sits
EpochX puts AI inside the workflow
Swoogo made a deliberate architectural choice: instead of building an assistant into the product, it shipped an MCP server that lets Claude, ChatGPT, and other AI tools read and write Swoogo data directly.
That design has clear boundaries. The documented tool set does not include invitation lists, and its email capability is limited to confirmations triggered when someone registers. An assistant can work with registration data, but it cannot build the invite list or send the outreach campaign. Reasoning across event and CRM data also requires the CRM to provide its own MCP connector.
EpochX takes the opposite approach. Describe the event and the platform is designed to generate the registration page, email sequence, agenda, and tracking inside templates and brand rules your organization has already set.
Where Swoogo is stronger
Attendee mobile experience
Swoogo offers a dedicated attendee mobile app, Go Attend, with personalized agendas, push notifications, event information, and networking features in beta. For larger events where attendees need a companion experience beyond the registration page, that gives Swoogo a layer EpochX does not currently offer.
Onsite and hardware
EpochX covers the booth and the door with iPad and kiosk capture that writes to the event record and CRM, plus QR check-in. Swoogo goes further with on-demand badge printing, offline check-in, a badge designer, group check-in, printer support, and an optional hardware kit.
Sessions, speakers, and conferences
Swoogo supports per-session fees, session-level waitlists, and a Call for Speakers module with submission intake and reviewer scoring. That matters for a multi-track conference with a call for papers. EpochX is built for field programs, where those workflows are less central.
Swoogo vs. EpochX integrations and CRM sync
EpochX
CRM sync is live and two-way across Salesforce, HubSpot, and more, and it sits at the center of the product. Contacts, registrations, attendance, and follow-up attach automatically to the relevant CRM records and campaigns. The integration set spans Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, Slack, and calendar tools, and it keeps getting deeper.
Swoogo
Swoogo includes its integrations at no extra charge, a meaningful advantage over platforms that sell CRM connectivity as an add-on. Its Salesforce integration is one-way and focuses on the outbound side. Registrants flow into Salesforce, fields map to Contacts, Leads, Opportunities, and Accounts, and campaign status can change based on attendance. Swoogo documents the sync as hourly or manually triggered.
The CRM and marketing automation systems it names include Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, and Campaign Monitor.
Frequently asked questions
Is EpochX better than Swoogo?
They are built for different jobs. Swoogo offers more infrastructure for robust onsite programs, including hardware, sponsor management, and a dedicated attendee mobile experience. EpochX is built for teams that plan events around target accounts and measure them against pipeline.
What is the difference between EpochX and Swoogo?
Swoogo is a logistics and registration-led event platform: you bring in your list of attendees, it runs the registration, website, and onsite experience, then syncs the results to your CRM where pipeline reporting can be built. EpochX starts with the accounts, deals, and relationships already in your CRM and carries that context through the full event workflow.
Can EpochX replace Swoogo?
For field programs where CRM-based targeting, pipeline visibility, and AI adoption are central, it can. EpochX is not positioned to replace Swoogo's badge printing and onsite hardware, attendee mobile app, Call for Speakers module, or deepest registration branching.
Does Swoogo do pipeline attribution?
Swoogo lists revenue attribution from event activity to pipeline as a capability. Its documented reporting covers registrations, sessions, speakers, and sponsors, while its guides describe pipeline measurement as happening in the connected CRM or through an AI assistant querying both systems.
Who should choose Swoogo instead?
Swoogo makes the most sense when registration itself is the hard problem, particularly for speaker and sponsorship portal needs, calls for papers, or substantial onsite check-in and badge-printing needs.
The bottom line
Is your priority connecting events to pipeline, or managing more complex event operations?
Swoogo is stronger when the logistics and mechanics of the event are the challenge: sponsorship portals, sessions and speakers, and badging. EpochX is designed around the questions field and event marketers face before registration opens and after the room empties: which accounts should be there, who should invite them, and what pipeline came out the other side. It is built for nimble teams using AI to stay agile without waiting for design, web, or agency teams to create registration pages and forms.
