Idea: Many Chinese New Year festivities include a virtual celebration party and making traditional food and treats. Here are even more ideas on how to celebrate Chinese New Year.

‍

February 2 - International CrĂŞpe Day

Start off the month on a sweet note with international crepe day! Get your employees to make this delicious dessert from home and post their creations on your company’s communication workspace like slack. Award the winning top creations for a fun competition. Employees that are parents can also get their kids involved!

‍

Idea: use Uber Eats or Instacart to give employees credits to purchase their own pancakes or crepes or ingredients from your company!

‍

February 4 - World Cancer Day

Cancer is a disease that has affected everyone’s life in one way or another. Bring awareness to this cause in your workplace by running a charity event or fundraiser to inspire employees to give back. Motivate employees to make a difference in the search for a cure.

‍

February 9 - National Pizza Day

Celebrate National Pizza Day with your team by encouraging employees to enjoy a few slices for their lunch. Create a happy hour event over lunchtime where employees are able to come together and socialize virtually with each other like they used to be able to do in the office.

‍

Idea: use Uber Eats to give employees credits to purchase their own slices from your company!

‍

February 14 - Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is all about love, but it can also be for appreciating those around us. Celebrate your team by giving compliments to each other or thanking them for all they do.

‍

Sometimes it’s easy to forget to appreciate the small things and the people that make the team so great. So spread the love!

‍

February 17 - Random Acts of Kindness Day

Celebrate and inspire your team to do random acts of kindness throughout the day and pay it forward! Give your staff members prompts on how they get started and encourage them to post their acts of kindness to a dedicated Slack channel.

‍

February 20 - World Day of Social Justice

This day is meant to recognize the need to improve and promote social justice in the world. Some of the issues include poverty, unemployment, gender equality, and human rights. Bring your team together on this day to brainstorm ways to help tackle and support these issues.

‍

This may involve finding local charities that tackle poverty to support as a team, learning about the local unemployment rate, creating a space for open conversations on gender equality, or educating the public on human rights.

‍

February 24 - Tortilla Chip Day

Who doesn’t love chips and salsa? It’s the perfect afternoon snack break for employees to take a little break from their work and celebrate making it halfway through the week with some tortilla chips.

‍

February 26 - International Pistachio Day

Have fun with this day as the month comes to an end by encouraging employees to get creative and eat or drink a pistachio themed item! Encourage employees to share their favorite pistachio food or drink creation of choice, and even leave the recipe for others to use!

‍

‍

With February’s focus being on Black History, use this month to educate employees not only on the history but the current events that are taking place, like the recent BLM protests. It’s extremely important to offer support for your employees and partner with your ERGs to ensure employees feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings. D&I programs and activities can help start the conversation and let employees know they are heard. Everyone must continue to support the communities and educate ourselves on this topic. Wondering what you can do to help? Here’s a list of over 150 Black-owned businesses that you and your team can help support during these challenging times to keep that positive momentum going!
